How To Install WordPress on a Go Daddy Hosting Account

If you are a GoDaddy user and you’d like to setup a blogging platform you will first need to make sure you have a Hosting account in addition to a domain name. Do you have this? Ok, good. Now I’ll tell you that you will definitely want to use WordPress because of too many reasons to list here… just trust me. Now let’s install WordPress!

To Install WordPress on your GoDaddy Hosting Account perform the following:
Note: You must have the proper credentials to log int your GoDaddy account. Please be sure to have these credentials on hand for this tutorial. Also, these directions assume that the domain name is already setup on the hosting account and waiting for a WordPress install.
1. Log into GoDaddy by directing your browser to http://www.godaddy.com
This is what the Go Daddy homepage looks like.
2. Click on the “Hosting” link in the top navigation and click Hosting again in the side navigation once that page loads. At this point you may need to type in your username and password again as GoDaddy sees this as added security. If you are lost at this point, try clicking this link to the GoDaddy Hosting Login and you should be sent to the appropriate log in page.

9. Provide a description and leave the install directory blank unless for some reason you are asked to install it in a subdirectory.
